we woke up, got packed and ready to go by 8 a.m.
walked what felt like a hundred miles with our luggage to the bus station
and caught the 8:25 bus to venezia.
we spent the day walking around in awe of the island's beauty.
i still am amazed at the image of a city on water.
there's nothing like it.

around 2:30 pm, we took the train to city #2, florence.
it was nice to relax and sit still for a couple of hours.
then, took some friends' advice and had dinner at a nice little place called il gato e la volpe.
tomorrow, we will explore beautiful florence.
